Texas store

Apply in five minutes

Tell us who you are and when you can work. If we want to move forward, you'll hear from the store manager within a few days.

1

About you

2 min

Never enter your Social Security number here. It's collected later, in payroll, once you're hired.

2

The job

3 min

Pick the one you want to work at. If more than one works for you, choose the closest and say so at the end.

Starting pay depends on the role, the store and your experience. This just helps the manager know what works for you.

Read before you send

1 min

One thing to read. Open it, scroll to the end, and it checks itself off.

2

Store rules and policies

12 min

Open each one and read it to the end. You can come back to any of these any time — the link stays live, and your manager can print you a copy.

Each one records when you opened it and when you agreed. That record is what protects you if a decision you made on shift is ever questioned.

Finish tonight, on your own

~3 hrs total

Both of these are fully online. Email the certificates to your manager when you pass.

TABC seller-server certification

About two hours plus an exam, good for two years. Texas doesn't force every seller to hold it, but this store does: the safe harbor protection for the store's license only applies when staff were trained by a TABC-approved provider. Your provider reports the pass to TABC for you.

Texas food handler card

Required within 30 days of your start date if you touch unpackaged food — roller grill, coffee bar, bakery case. Must come from a DSHS-licensed or ANSI-accredited program. Usually under an hour and about $10.

Bring to your first shift

Your I-9 documents, originals only. Either a passport on its own, or a driver's license plus a Social Security card or birth certificate. Photos on your phone don't count.

Your W-4 and direct deposit are set up in ADP once payroll has you in the system. Your manager sends that invite.

Your ID documents

3 min
You choose which documents to send. Federal law says the store cannot tell you which ones to present or ask for more than the law requires. One document from List A is enough on its own — you do not also need a Social Security card. If you don't have a List A document, you send one from List B and one from List C instead.

Photograph or scan each document, front and back, all four corners visible and readable. Uploading here saves time on day one — but you still have to bring the originals to your first shift so your manager can examine them in person.

What's on each list?

List A proves identity and work authorization together. One is enough.

List B proves who you are. List C proves you can work. You need one of each.

All documents must be unexpired. If yours is expired or lost, tell your manager before your first shift rather than sending nothing.

For payroll — Social Security card

This is not part of your I-9 — the documents you chose above are already complete. Payroll photographs the card so your name and number go to the IRS exactly as Social Security has them, which prevents your W-2 from bouncing. Every new hire is asked for this.

Direct deposit (optional — skip it and you get a pay card)

Then photograph a voided check or a bank letter showing your name, account and routing number — payroll checks your typed numbers against the image before anything is set up. Deposit slips and bank statements are not accepted.

These files go to a private folder only your franchisee can open. They are never emailed, never shared by link, and are deleted on the schedule in the store's retention policy. Do not send them any other way — not by text, not by email.
